It’s grey, it’s wet, and you’re not going to love it - at least, not if you are me. I know, I know - we cannot live without the rain - but I think I could try. Actually, we’ve had very little precip all Winter so I’ve nothing to complain about.
I was going to go off in search of Greens+ but honestly, I really don’t like walking about in the rain. Instead, I went to the gym and did some cardio - at least an hour of it.
My visit’s to the gym cannot seem to occur without a requisite number of pull-ups - is there such a thing as being addicted to an exercise? If there is - that’s it for me. I used to do push-ups like a mad thing but I had some problems (I’m not going into them) and I had to stop -at least for a rather lengthy hiatus. I began doing a few again today - just testing the water.

Anyway, the workout went well and no problems were had. As I was heading out, I ran into a neighbour - though we’ve only just discovered this, we have a mutual friend in common. As soon as this was realized, our hallway and lobby chats became much more enthusiastic - it seems we both used to live in the same city and this is how we have the same friend in common.
My partner ran into him one day recently as well. They were at a local market and stopped to talk in front of one of the stands. I guess one of the employees didn’t like the fact that they were standing in front of his display case and basically told them to shove off. Our neighbour went all sort of combat on the guy, yelling, gesticulating, and cut quite the fine figure - I think there was cursing involved. After this verbal altercation, he turned back to my partner as if nothing had happened. That’s control - or maybe it’s just crazy. I don’t know - I’ve been there myself and I don’t think of myself as being too crazy…
He related this contretemps to me when I saw him today and I laughingly attributed his reaction to the city we once shared - because it’s a dog eat dog world out there. Or maybe it was the weather - changing Seasons bring on strange behaviours - and woe betide those who encounter we who are most affected by them - sometimes, it’s not pretty - and sometimes it’s just the rain.
